Yes we are an essential business- caring for the animals, however that does not include adoptions, routine surrenders-those are "non-essential'. This is why we will be there every day and only accept the animals animal control deems necessary for the time being

How are you non essential. Do you not except strays. Seems like you would be just essential as a liquor store..

Then I guess I'm confused because if adoptions and accepting surrenders is "non-essential", the government has made you an animal daycare. Those functions are the very essence of the shelter.

This breaks my heart. Does this apply to all shelters? I placed a call to Gov. Lee's office to ask that this be reconsidered. 615-741-2001, if anyone else chooses to use their voice for our animals. It's a sad day when we just throw in the towel and follow orders based on speculation. Furthermore, even the Gov of NY, Andrew Cuomo has made shelters "essential businesses." Surely our governor is at least that smart?

Thank you for all you all do!! Take good care of yourselves also!!

All of you please take care. Seems like you're an essential business to me!!

We will, hopefully see you in a couple of weeks!

Good luck stay safe

I ordered bleach, fabuloso, laundry detergent all to be delivered Friday also. They still limit what one person can order so it may take many of us ordering to get the basics for you.

Ordered 2 boxes of 10 lbs each, milkbone dog biscuits. They are to be delivered Friday. Let me know if you don't get them!!!
